European Association for Cranio Maxillo Facial Surgery
EACMFS was established in 1970 by a group of innovative European surgeons who were keen to advance the specialty. It has become the most prominent and highly respected professional group for the specialty in Europe and has a high profile in other parts of the World.The objectives of the Association are to promote cranio-maxillo-facial surgery in theory and practice and attempt to establish uniform training requirements for the specialty in Europe and encourage these worldwide. The main aim was to endeavour to ensure that specialist training in oral and maxillo-facial surgery was based on a solid foundation of dual medical and dental qualifications and core training in surgery.

The Programme includes online learning courses, a clinical observership at a surgical centre with specialised experience in head and neck cancer treatment
and a hands-on cadaver workshop. Upon completion of the Programme, the participants will receive a Certificate issued by EACMFS. The Programme will be accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).
This scholarship designed to support a period of fellowship head & neck oncology training at the Maxillofacial Surgical Unit of University College London Hospital (UCLH) is available to all eligible members of EACMFS who should hold a full registration with the General Medical Council.
These scholarships made on a competitive basis on the recommendation of the Endowment Committee are designed to support Trainee Members of EACMFS from the Eastern European Countries (and those who have successfully completed training as specialists within three years of the date of application) in their participation in the 26th Congress of the Association in Madrid (27-30 September 2022).
These scholarships (up to a maximum of 2000 euros) made on the recommendation of the Endowment Committee are designed to encourage Junior Trainee Undergraduate Student Members on a European training pathway and Specialist Trainee Members of EACMFS (plus those who have successfully completed training as specialists within three years of the date of application) to travel to other countries to enhance their education and training.

The Leibinger Award Presented by Stryker is designed to support a period of targeted education & training away from the host programme of the successful candidate.
The award will be given every two years. The award will be presented officially at a high profile event in the main auditorium during the biennial EACMFS Congress and successful candidates will be expected to attend. The visit duration shall be left to the discretion of the applicant as long as the proposed budget does not exceed the award amount and the trip commences within 12 months from the award dat
