Acquired her medical diploma in Latvian University, but dental diploma in Riga Stradins University while training in maxillofacial surgery residency program. Near the end of the program, Dr. Bāgante more exclusively participated in cleft pathology reconstructive surgeries and wrote her PhD on 3D evaluation of nasolabial appearance with a complete cleft lip and palate.
Currently Dr. Bāgante is chief surgeon of department of oral and maxillofacial surgery in Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital as well as actively participates in education of medical and dental students.
